Our objectives and member services

The AFA exists to promote the interests of its player agent members and offer the benefits of collective influence in the domestic and international football arenas.

At a corporate level the AFA, through its code of conduct, operates in a self regulatory capacity to maintain professional standards. Through an ongoing communications and affiliate programme the AFA collects information and insight across the worldwide football industry keeping members fully informed of current issues and important developments. Legal and regulatory expertise is central to the success of player agent representation and the Association prides itself on the depth experienced individuals within the management team which is made available for the benefit of individual members.

Central to the code of conduct is the programme of Continuing Professional Development (CPD). The AFA keeps member agents fully informed of worldwide issues and key changes that impact the transfer market. Also the AFA provides access to specialist staff to assist in the resolution of legal, financial and contractual disputes; as well as a wealth of experience built up over time. The requirements imposed by the sports controling organizations for agent licencing can be fully met through the AFA.  

A new and comprehensive range of Training and Licencing programmes for new agents is under construction.
